This wireless steering wheel for the virtual driving experience received four stars out of a five star rating. The first reviewer is practically beside himself with the fact that he no longer needs a joystick to play a racing game. He can actually use a steering wheel to drive… what a concept. He loves the design and the fact that the controls worked evenly and smoothly with no grittiness or excessive dead spots. He feels that a secure grip on the steering wheel is achieved with the combination of the rubber grips and the wheel’s thickness, diameter and weight.
He also feels that these brake and gas pedals are closer to a standard automobile than with some of the other simulated driving games he has experienced; and they don’t slip on carpeting. He switches between the lap mounts and having the unit clamped onto a small desk type table in front of his couch and loves the fact that this option was included. Even more enjoyable is the fact that this Mad Catz racing wheel set up was far more affordable than the first official Xbox racing wheel.
