Logitech Reputation

Not surprisingly, this product received a 4 1/2 out of five star rating. Here’s what some reviewers had to say. Probably the most reputable review came from a person that is extremely familiar with the G27s predecessor. This guy had a pretty good idea of what to expect. He loves the fact that it can maintain forceful feedback but stay smooth with a silent turn of the steering wheel. He’s also enjoying the fact that the gear shifter no longer clicks in place with an audible click; silence is after all… golden. Its predecessor, the G25, was very noisy with plastic sounds which took away from the realism, not to mention being annoying.

According to the reviewer, some users of the G25 actually modified it to eliminate those noises; so the fact that silent shifting is a part of the G27’s characteristics is most definitely a plus. Not to mention the fact that the modification of the G25 nullified the warranty. It also beats out the G25 because the pedals are now adjustable, so can be a much more comfortable fit than the old model. Customizable buttons on the steering wheel are a fun added feature as well.

Another user says that the quality and construction of the G27 is far superior to other models. He also mentions the keen and accurate force feedback. This seems to be a decidedly imperative characteristic of the G27. Even the spring rates on the brake and throttle seem better than previous versions. -Read more user reviews on Amazon here.

Logitech G27 Roundup

Video games have come further than anyone from the Atari generation could possibly have imagined. With the exception of a heated leather bucket seat (with adjustable lumbar settings of course), the G27 has practically everything that a real car has. Including the realistic feel! (Ooh, thank goodness there’s no airbags)
